Mao Haimura is Tokyo-based painter characterised by a pop style reminiscent of Swinging Sixties while being influenced by various aspects from classic modern art such as symbolism's allegorical nature, the decorative elements of Art Nouveau and Art Deco, and the Zeitgeist of expressionism.
